The perfect start of Springtime, that is what yesterday felt like. Sunny, the temperature was bearable and with your face in the sun even very pleasant I admit, kids playing outside with their jackets off (even though in my opinion this was intentionally provoking the weather gods I understood the temptation of taking it all off because in Holland you never know when the sun is coming back after all) and accordingly to my friend the air even smelt like Spring (which again I thought was a quite strange thing to say since I did not smell anything but scentless air, but maybe I'm just a bad sniffer). Thus, the perfect start of Springtime. Until, after I cheerfully set one foot inside the house, my roommate sneered the words: 'It's supposed to freeze again next week.' And there it was, the crushing of the perfect start of Springtime. Thank you kids for provoking the weather gods! Those jeans shorts will have to remain seated in the closet for a bit longer and I guess my leopard coat will still be my BF for the upcoming days/weeks/months/years (as I said, in Holland you never know when the sun will make its return).
